Happy Sunday again Friends and Family!!!

I am sorry it took me a whole week to post this card.  I will try and do better next week.  :o)

I am still taking  May Flaum's "Camp Scrap".  I am moving at a snails pace, but I am having a wonderful time doing it.

This is a card from week one "BY DESIGN" class.

Although the design is very simple, sometimes less is more.  I am very happy with how it turned out.

Instead of sewing on the card, I distressed the edges, and used the WeR So Easy rolling stamper.  It really was fun to make.

I hope you all have a wonderful week.  I may make some paper dolls this next week...we shall see!
Hugs to all.  xoxox

Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday Friends and Family!

I hope everyone is having a fun and relaxing Sunday.  I will do some chores today, and then find some time to do some scrapping.

Yesterday was another story though.  :o)  Yesterday I played in my creative space.  I took another "Camp Scrap" class with May Flaum, this time for a double page layout.  For those of you who know me, if I were to say "I have a lot of paper", that really does not describe how much paper I really have.  I LOVE paper!   But for some reason yesterday I thought I would try and use some of my old paper that I had put aside.  So I went looking and saw a folder I had set aside to do later.  To my surprise, I had set aside pictures, a partially done layout and memorabilia from Scrapbook Expo 2004!  So welcome back to the past, 10 years ago with a few new things added in to get this layout DONE!
Please don't laugh, as this was the cool stuff back then.  :o)

This was my first Scrapbook Expo back in 2010.  My husband Vince, who has always been very encouraging, got involved too, and wanted me to have a great time.  I signed him up for what was called the "Teacher's Pet".  A volunteer who would help pass out supplies and such during class.  So he was the helper for the class I was taking.  He was a BIG hit with the ladies, and helped them tie bows and all sorts of things.  This paper is "Hippie Chick" from SEI, and we both did the SEI Iron Ons together at the SEI booth Make and Take.  The cards on the layout are from the card class that he was the helper in.  Notice the paper tearing and distressing , (crinkled up paper)...VERY big at the time.  :o)

I had saved a ticket and our wrist bands, which is why I used them in the layout.

I did my best to incorporate May's lesson into the old theme.

I am happy with it....it really makes me smile.  I was so excited about Scrapbooking then.  (That has not changed a bit!)
Tomorrow I will post a card.  Have a great rest of your Sunday!!  Hugs.  xo

Happy Friday to all of my friends and Family!!

I thought I would post another creation from May Flaum's "CAMP SCRAP".

This layout is from her DESIGN class.  I have to be honest, when she first put up this sketch, I was thinking, ""this is just too basic".  BUT, as I kept on going, I found out how fun, and creative I could be with it.  These pictures are from New Year's eve.  My honey and I always take a New Year's picture, and this year we just could not get a picture we were happy with.  So we just kept snapping away, making silly faces.  I will always remember it, because we were laughing so much at each other.

Here are some close up's of some of the detail:

I really LOVE taking classes!!!

I hope you all have a great Friday and a WONDERFUL weekend.  Hugs.

Happy 4th of July my friends and family!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful day having fun, celebrating our country's birthday, and making new memories.

This evening I had some fun creating.  I am taking an online class from May Flaum called "Camp Scrap".  It is a six week class that started last Monday, and I just got around to taking one of the first lessons.  May is a super talented crafty woman, and I have been a huge fan of hers for quite some time.  I highly recommend taking a look at her blog and check her out.  www.mayflaum.com

I created this tag after watching her live chat that she conducted last Monday.  She is so inspiring, and has so many great ideas.

I am looking forward to six weeks of fun and creative genius!!

Have a super weekend.  Hugs.  xo

Hi there friends and family!

I hope you all had a fun and relaxing weekend.

I had a fun time creating again.  This time I tried something new.  I made some layouts using Teresa Collins new Modeling Paste, Palette Knife Set and Stencils.

Here is the first one.  I used the modeling paste to make the butterflies, and the "Remember",

The modeling paste was easy to use.  It was very smooth, almost like frosting.  :o)  The tools were handy, and the stencils are just too cute!

Once you use the modeling paste you have to let it dry.  It actually was pretty quick drying, and would dry even quicker if you used a heat tool.  Once the paste is dry, it takes sprays and inks very easily.

On my next layout, I used it on a tag in the layout.  It was so fun, and I was happy with the results.

I enjoyed using the modeling paste.  I think next time I may try it on a canvas.
I just love Teresa Collins and her company.  She is not only extremely talented and creative, but she is inspirational as well.

I hope you all have a great week!
Hugs.  xoxox

Hello Friends and Family...Happy Monday!

I decided to post to the blog tonight, as I had something wonderful happen today.

Those that know me, know that one of my favorite things to make is paper dolls.  I started making paper dolls when I was a small girl.  My sisters and I used to make them together.  We would design our own outfits for them and play forever.

So, you can imagine how happy I was when Julie Nutting came out with her paper doll stamps. I love Julie Nutting's work and I am a huge fan.   I have had so much fun making the paper dolls and using them for so many projects.  Making them brings back all of my happy paper doll memories.  Julie just came out with a new book for her paper dolls, and my daughter Melodie pre-ordered it for me for my Mother's Day present. It arrived last week.  It is WONDERFUL!!  So many creative ideas, I could hardly wait to get creating.

I went to a crop at my local scrapbook store on Saturday, (Paradise Scrapbook Boutique) and got busy with my new project.  I had never created anything like this project before.  I was nervous but excited, and I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

BUT to make this story even better, I decided to post my creation to Facebook and see how my friends reacted to it.  I was secretly hoping that Julie Nutting herself might comment on it.  My friends were encouraging as usual, and then I saw what I was hoping for, a comment from Julie Nutting herself!  I was truly on cloud nine, but it got even better.  Julie posted it to her page!!!  I was so excited when I saw it at work , that my friend and co-worker  Chloe, thought I had won something.  :o)  Hence why I said something wonderful happened today.  It meant so much to me, you just don't know.

I would like to thank Julie Nutting for bringing paper dolls back to us "grown up" girls, so that we can have fun and play again.  We love you!

I hope you like my creation.  I sure had fun making it.   Have a happy week everyone.   :o)

It's a Basic Grey Kind of Day

Hi Friends and Family!

I know it's been awhile, but I decided, "what the heck...I'm going to post to my blog"!

I have been organizing my scrappy supplies, and came across my Basic Grey.  Basic Grey has always been my go to paper ever since it came on the scene.  I found their line "True Love" and decided to make a layout with myself and my one true love, my husband Vince.  This line is perfect for scrapping anyone you love.  :o)

This was a fun layout to work on.  I did some distressing on it, and all of the wonderful matching embellishments made it a breeze to put together.

I had so much fun I decided to make some cards with the leftovers

I loved my Basic Grey Day!

Have a happy Sunday.  xo
